The Brasil Flag
The Lord worked here in mighty ways. The first night we got to tell about what the Lord is doing around the world in China, India, and Uganda. We hopefully opened the eyes to the mission field not only around the world, but also in their community. We talked about the great commission in Matthew. The next day, we spent the morning passing out flyers and inviting people to a big event with skits, music and a speaker. The opportunity was great to set a foundation for Christ in this city because Sorriso (where we are in Brasil) is only 23 years old. It is relatively young for a city and the opportunity for Christianity to grow is big. The pastors and people we worked with were excited about what the Lord was doing in their city.
This is where the Big event was held.
Sarah Rinn got to co-star on Brasil television with Ellen Ximena. That was pretty cool.
That was a random side note.
We have been privileged enough to talk to two youth groups about what we have done and encourage them to be missionary in their schools, community, and if feeling lead around the world! It is pretty great to get to pour into students in other countries and love on them.
The Ximena Family
The Lord has definitely taught me to be a leader for Christ in everyday life. He has also taught me to be consciounses about everything I do in word and deed. Psalm 19:14 [May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.] The Lord is good and He is continuing to give me a peace and comfort in times of need.
Rehab Center
Another opportunity we had was to go to a drug rehab center where the men there were free to go at anytime, but made the choice to clean up their life through Jesus Christ. The rehab center was a place where Jesus Christ and His power is proclaimed. This was really encouraging that the guys were turning to the Lord for satisfaction and not wordly things anymore. They were looking to be filled with the Living water. I was given the privilege of leading a devotion that morning with them and the Lord put 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 on my heart to share with them. [But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.]Ellen and I
If you are a vegetarian Brasil is not a destination for you to travel to. They eat meat for every meal! I have been craving some meat and the Lord definitely provided in might ways. Today we went to a Brasilian steak house wear they just bring out meat after meat after meat. It is great! The food is pretty great here.I can´t wait to tell you guys more stories when I get home! I am so blessed to have you all praying for the team and me back home! Thank you so much!
For His glory and your joy,
Levi Johnston

Hey Levi!
Maybe my 3rd attempt at posting a comment will be the charm. haha. You guys stories about Brazil are fabulous. I am so glad that y'all are able to see God work in such clear ways. How fun and exciting. I really miss y'all and cant wait to hear and read more soon. Keep up the Glorious Work and remember Isaiah 40:31.
Many prayers,
Ande'
Here are prayers that your exhaustion be turned to even more energy and excitement for God's works through you all! I am so proud and (though this may be the most contact we have EVER had, sorry to say) I find myself looking forward to your brief messages more and more. In fact I was just talking to my hubby before I got to check my messages saying how much I was looking forward to hearing from you again. While I am not on the mission field outside of my community, I am encouraged through the efforts of yourself and your friends and pray often that your needs are all met, that you have a great time and that we'll get together when you come back home to tell us more in person! I've got a kiddo that would love to meet you and hear of your adventures! :o)
Much love and God's blessings for all of you!

Keep up the good work and say hello to Ellen. She was one of my favorite Tim-Teamers.

Hi Sweetheart!
Just wanted to drop a line before bed. I scanned your update and it looks amazing. I'll read it more thoroughly tommorrow. I just got a chance to sit down to do this. Uncle Gene was in for the weekend and it was an amazingly good time! We celebrated Janet's birthday with her. Since he's gone we have been getting contacts and cleats and receiver's gloves and taking them back for exchanges and the list goes on... Everything was ready for Jacob to start football camp this morning and he tore his contact so was unable to go because of the helmet dilemma. Praise the Lord that he can at least get the contacts in now! That was quite the accomplishment. We're gearing up for our music and arts camp at church. We'll all be praying for you - a role model for us all. It should be fun since I missed VBS this year with all the pastor search business. The pictures brought a smile to my face, and I'm blessed to see you so full of joy! I hope you're not feeling too under the weather. I suspect you'll not elaborate on that for fear we may worry. I know you're too honery, I mean sweet, for anything to keep you down for too very long. The Holy Spirit works wonders too, Ha. Well sweet pea. I intend to write more soon. Love you and miss you!
WOW Son, that about sums it up for me. What great photos, i can't wait to learn the "turkey incident" story. I continue to pray for you and the team, knowing that y'all are touching so many lives, and creating persons to continue the story and quest for redemption and peace in an often confusing world. My hope is that you all are taking care of yourselves and resting whenever and where ever possible. Levi , my heart continues to burst with pride for you and the team. mom
Hey Sweetheart, I hope you have arrived safely in Peru. I saw this prayer and my thoughts naturally went to you. mom
Giving to Those in Need
May I become at all times, both now and forever
A protector for those without protection
A guide for those who have lost their way
A ship for those with oceans to cross
A bridge for those with rivers to cross
A sanctuary for those in danger
A lamp for those without light
A place of refuge for those who lack shelter
And a servant to all in need.
Hey Buddie!
Time has gotten away from me. There was a lot more to do to get ready for our pastor than I thought. Cleaning and yard work beyond imagination. Our missionary house had been neglected to say the least. Hope things are going well. Sorry I haven't commented before now, but I'm sure you understand. How's your knee. It sure is getting close. Time is drawing near and I can't imagine the mixed emotions you must be experiencing! It will be great to hear from you and I'm sure a part of you will be glad to be back in the states, but I would imagine a part of you wouldn't want it to end. Witnessing around the world sounds pretty awesome. Not to mention all the cool things you've seen. Guess what? Uncle Gene's daughter Janet is getting married and he's walking her down the isle!! Maybe you'll get to come. Hope you'll stay with us if you do. I think he said October but I'm not sure. Well I hate to make such long comments but I really miss talking to you. Can't wait to see you. I love you.
Hugs and kisses,
Aunt Chris
